At By the Light of Truth, our mission is to help Christians deepen their theological understanding and strengthen their faith. We believe that faith is not blind—it is rooted in reason, revelation, and a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through biblically grounded teaching, apologetics resources, and practical tools, we aim to strengthen the Church for thoughtful engagement with today’s world.

About the Founder

My name is William Craig, and I founded By the Light of Truth to make theology and apologetics accessible to believers at every stage of their spiritual walk.

Before entering ministry, I served in the United States Marine Corps on the Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team (F.A.S.T.), where I learned discipline, leadership, and dedication to a mission greater than myself. Those same values now shape my passion for equipping believers to stand firm in their faith.

I hold both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree from Liberty University, where my studies deepened my conviction in the authority of Scripture and the defense of the Christian faith. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Theology and Apologetics at Liberty University, further preparing myself for teaching, writing, and public apologetics.

For the past eight years, I have served as a Youth Pastor, helping students grow in biblical understanding and confidence in their faith. By God’s grace, the youth ministry has experienced significant growth over the past few years, reflecting a renewed hunger among young believers for truth and purpose rooted in Scripture.

This ministry grew out of years of study, prayer, and a desire to see believers move beyond emotional or surface-level faith to a deeper, informed relationship with God—one that stands firm in truth even when feelings fade.

Our Beliefs

We affirm the inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of Scripture; the Trinity; the full deity and humanity of Christ; salvation by grace through faith; and the call for believers to engage the world with truth spoken in love.

While By the Light of Truth holds to a Young Earth creation perspective, we welcome fellowship and dialogue with all who confess Christ, recognizing our shared mission to proclaim the gospel and defend the faith.
