True Christians can, in good faith, disagree on the age of the Earth. While this channel affirms a young-earth creation view based on a literal reading of the Genesis account, we recognize that faithful believers have interpreted the biblical text differently on this issue. We do not see the age of the Earth as a salvation issue—salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. However, we do believe it is an important secondary issue that impacts how we understand Scripture, the nature of God’s creative work, and the foundations of biblical authority.
